These terms are an agreement between you and OpenSkye Labs (“we”, “us”) for using the Pepello app and this website. By using Pepello you agree to them. Our privacy policy explains how we handle your data.
Pepello is not medical advice. This app is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition. Consult a healthcare professional before making medical decisions.
Pepello and its AI assistant are not a doctor, nurse or pharmacist. They can’t give medical advice or set your dose.
In an emergency, call 911 or your local emergency number.
Who can use Pepello
You must be 18 or older. You’re responsible for keeping your phone, and any account you create, secure.
What Pepello does, and what it doesn’t
Pepello does unit math on numbers you enter, keeps a log, sends reminders you set, and explains what labels, research and regulators say. It does not suggest doses, schedules or cycles, diagnose or treat anything, or sell, source or recommend any product or seller.
You are responsible for your own health decisions. Check every dose, unit and syringe with the person who prescribed or dispensed it, and with the product’s label. Make decisions about your medicines with a licensed healthcare professional. Some compounds Pepello tracks are not approved by the FDA or other regulators for use in people, and their legal status changes; it is up to you to follow the law where you live.
The AI assistant
Answers come from an AI model. They can be incomplete or wrong, even when they cite a source. Check anything important with the source and with a healthcare professional. Don’t use the assistant to try to get dosing instructions, to source products, or to get around its safety limits.
Doses you share or receive
A shared dose is someone else’s numbers. Pepello did the math; it did not choose the dose. Use a dose someone sends you only if it is the dose your own prescriber gave you, and check every number before you save it. Don’t use sharing to give dosing instructions to others, or to advertise or sell anything.
Reminders and widgets
Reminders and home-screen widgets are a convenience. Your phone can delay or silence them, for example in a low-power or focus mode, and a widget shows what the app last worked out, so open Pepello to see your log as it is now. Don’t rely on them alone for a dose that matters.
Information and calculations
We work to keep guides, regulatory status and the math correct, and we show when information was last checked. Even so, information can be out of date, and a calculation is only as good as the numbers entered. Pepello is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted service, to the extent the law allows.
Using Pepello fairly
Please don’t misuse Pepello: no attempts to break, overload, reverse engineer or resell it, and no using it to break the law or harm anyone.
Your data
What you enter is yours. Most of it never leaves your phone; the privacy policy lists what does. You can export or delete it from the app at any time.
Our content
The app, its text, guides and artwork, the Pepello name and the Pepello character belong to OpenSkye Labs. We grant you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app on devices you own or control, under these terms and the rules of the store you got it from.
Limits on our liability
To the extent the law allows, OpenSkye Labs is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any harm arising from decisions about medicines or substances made using Pepello. Our total liability for any claim about Pepello is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or US$50 if you paid nothing. Some places don’t allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.
Apple and Google
If you got Pepello from the App Store, these terms are between you and OpenSkye Labs, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide support or maintenance and is not responsible for the app or for any claims about it, including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance, and intellectual property claims. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them. Your use must also follow the App Store’s Usage Rules. If you got Pepello from Google Play, Google Play’s terms also apply.
Ending
You can stop using Pepello at any time and delete your data and account from the app. We may suspend access to online features, such as the AI assistant, if these terms are broken.
Changes
We may update these terms. We change the date at the top, and tell you in the app about changes that matter. If you keep using Pepello after that, the new terms apply.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the place where OpenSkye Labs is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where the law where you live gives you rights that can’t be waived.
